I have been looking for a writer to work with me on a project, and once more, I am astonished at the way some people choose to communicate with the world. I made a simple request for a PDF of some work, and while the majority of writers were professional in their approach, some were not. One person sent me a forwarded email, from someone else, from another forwarded mail, inside another… actually it was a chain of six emails before I finally got to their work. What an astonishing way to present yourself. And, I now know who the six other people he sent it to before me are (and I know at least half of them!)
The lesson is, of course, get professional. If I have a pile of work to read, you can guarantee that this writers work is now at the bottom. Jeepers!
